The Secret Of Holm Peel And Other Strange Stories-Sax Rohmer

Eight stories from 1905,12,14,42,48,57.

A huge, huge disappoinment. I don’t know what the editor’s were thinking when they put these eight stories together. I’m a big fan of Rohmer’s and have read the Fu Manchu series twice over the years. I’ve also read a lot of his other books and liked them all. A couple other short story collections were also top notch.

This is just dismal. I can’t find any favorites in here at all. Some came close but their endings were so obvious that they’re not worth the time. If you are new to Rohmer avoid this. If you’re a Rohmer fan, avoid this collection.

About vintage45

I'm a big fan of vintage books, movies,TV shows and music. I encourage everyone to patronize your local used book/record store and pick up some of the good stuff. My posts are capsule reviews of some favorites that you may want to investigate. The albums posted aren't really reviews but items from my collection that are still available. I try and point out highlights of each one and let the music speak for itself. Thanks to all for checking out the blog.
