There were actually two versions filmed simultaneously, one American (which explains the Copenhagen travelogue footage). one Danish. The acid slime spitting only appeared in the American version. Love the guy who's eaten by Reptilicus. Is that a paper doll cutout or what?

200 Years To Christmas was a decent short read as part of an ACE double. It's been so long since I read One In Three Hundred that I only remember the basic storyline but not what I thought of it. That being the case I probably wasn't all that impressed.

What about J. T. McIntosh's One in Three Hundred? At least Mel Hunter's cover is gorgeous.... http://www.isfdb.org/wiki/images/1/10/NNTHRHNDRD6F1954.jpg

Or perhaps his generationship novel (yes, it's supposed to be routine) 200 Years to Christmas (1961)?

I liked some elements in certain books but as a whole project they ended up taking a nose dive. "Snow White And The Giants" had potential with several good sequences but ultimately failed. He's like some other authors, John Lymington is one, where I keep hoping I'll find something that works all the way through. The search continues as I have a few more of each author waiting in the wings. One day I'll check some more out and hope for the best.
