Jack Elam
John Payne gets sent up for an armored car robbery. He was framed. Really. The police finally recognize their mistake and let Payne go and the chase is on. To make things more complicated,the crooks wore masks during the robbery and don’t know each other or who hired them. Payne winds up in Mexico. I’m keeping the details vague because I don’t want to take away the sheer enjoyment of this great crime film.
The cast is first rate: John Payne, Coleen Gray,Preston Foster, Neville Brand, Lee Van Cleef and Jack Elam.
