The Human Monster (1939)

Bela Lugosi as an insurance man? Yes, but remember, this is Bela Lugosi.  People with no families but with policies with Bela have some creative accidents.  His henchmen include a resident of the home for the blind which just happens to be the beneficiary. Bela is also the Doctor on call. Hmmmm. Sounds like a job for Scotland Yard.

This is a terrific movie with Bela giving one of his best and most evil performances. It is also known as,”Dead Eyes Of London,” and it’s original book title,”The Dark Eyes Of London,” written by legendary mystery-suspense author Edgar Wallace.

About vintage45

I'm a big fan of vintage books, movies,TV shows and music. I encourage everyone to patronize your local used book/record store and pick up some of the good stuff. My posts are capsule reviews of some favorites that you may want to investigate. The albums posted aren't really reviews but items from my collection that are still available. I try and point out highlights of each one and let the music speak for itself. Thanks to all for checking out the blog.
