Alfred Hitchcock Presents:More Stories Not For The Nervous (Skeleton Crew)-Edited by Robert Arthur

Stories from 1948,50,56,57,60,62,64.

Ten stories and the 1948 novel “Sorry, Wrong Number” by Lucille Fletcher and Allan Ullman. This collection contains my absolute favorite Jack Ritchie story “For All The Rude People.” It’s also at the top of the list of my favorite crime stories of all time.

Favorites: “Lemmings” (1957)- Richard Mathieson- Short, short story about the creatures that drown themselves.

“Call For Help” (1964)- Robert Arthur-Two elderly sisters live with their niece and her husband. They’re convinced the two want to kill them.

“For All The Rude People” (1961)- Jack Ritchie- A man has four months to live. He has a unique way of spending his time. I’ll say it again, this is one of my favorite stories.

Other authors:Hal Dresner, Idris Seabright, Mike Marmer, Henry Slesar, Ellis Peters, Margaret St.Clair and Miriam Allen deFord.

About vintage45

I'm a big fan of vintage books, movies,TV shows and music. I encourage everyone to patronize your local used book/record store and pick up some of the good stuff. My posts are capsule reviews of some favorites that you may want to investigate. The albums posted aren't really reviews but items from my collection that are still available. I try and point out highlights of each one and let the music speak for itself. Thanks to all for checking out the blog.
