Saturday night show sponsored by The Bulova Watch Company. Frank used the cast from his Paramount Theater shows. The musical conductor was Axel Stordahl.
Typical show: Frank opens with “When Your Smiling.”…June Hutton (Mrs.Stordahl) comes out and she and Frank sing “My Romance.”..Ken Roberts does a Bulova commercial. Buy a watch for Mom on Mother’s Day.
Comedy sketch with Frank, Eileen Barton, Dagmar, Joe Bushkin, Tim Hobart and Don Saxon……Joe Bushkin plays “I Love A Piano” and Eileen sings “A Tree In Brooklyn.”….Tim does a horrible, unwatchable so called comedy bit.
Frank sings “Hello Young Lovers”…….Eileen comes out and sings “What Do You Think I Am?” and Frank does “Oh Look At You Now.”…..Here comes Dagmar. After some quick comedy she sings “Ballin’ The Jack.”…..Tim and Don do a song and dance routine that’s just dumb……Frank closes the show with “If.”
Eileen Barton had a huge hit in 1950 with “If I Knew You Were Comin” I’d Have Baked A Cake.”
