The concerts took place on December 23, 1938 and Christmas Eve 1939. Forty-Nine tracks on two CD’s. If you like rarities and great music you can’t go wrong with this. Just read the album cover for all those involved.

Highlights include: “Swingin” The Blues”-Count Basie, “Jumpin’ Blues”-Meade Lux Lewis, Albert Ammonds, Pete Johnson, “I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate”-New Orleans Feetwarmers, “Flying Home”-Benny Goodman Group, “‘Fore Day Creep”-Ida Cox, “Oh, Lady Be Good”-a ten minutes jam session.
