John Nelson hosts the wedding of Anna Goldman and George Robert Nathan. Anna is seventy-three years old. John conducts the interview. George is seventy-three and served in the Spanish American war. They met while living in the same apartment building. At a picnic George asked her if they should double up. Saves on rent.
Maid of honor Rose comes out along with Best Man John. George’s daughter comes out with Anna’s son. While they head for the ceremony Phil Hanna warbles his way through “Because.” Time for the Rabbi to marry the happy couple. Keepsake Diamond Rings supply the wedding bands.
Ceremony over and it’s time for John to do a Betty Crocker commercial. Here come the wedding gifts….Silverware, a toaster, an iron, a sewing machine, an off brand TV, an electric range and a Betty Crocker recipe book. The big prize is a honeymoon stay at Laurel On The Pines in New Jersey with the use of a 1953 Pontiac. They also get a 16mm film of their wedding.
John gives a plug about one of their couples that will the subject of an article in True Magazine.
