Great Jazz versions of John Williams score for the TV show. Drummer Manne is accompanied by Conte Candoli-Trumpet, Richie Kamuca-Tenor Sax, Russ Freeman-Piano and Chuck Berghofter-Bass. Seven terrific tracks. Highlights include: “Checkmate”, “The Isolated Pawn” and “The Black Night.”

There’s more to the soundtrack than Schifrin’s legendary theme. Fourteen nice Jazzy tracks. Bud Shank is a standout on flute and alto sax.
