A Vintage Jazz Christmas-Various Artists

vintage jazz

Eight hard to find tracks from some of the best Jazz artists. You don’t have to be a fan of Christmas music to appreciate the artistry on these songs. Too bad there are a couple clunkers for filler but the other eight are worth it.

Highlights include: “White Christmas”-Charlie Parker, “The Christmas Song”-Jack Teagarden”, “Frosty”-Stan Getz” and “Great Christmas Parts 1 and 2”-Erroll Garner.

Other artists: Louis Armstrong, Benny Carter, Champion Jack Dupree and Fats Waller. Two filler tracks at the end from Guy Lombardo and Dinah Shore.

About vintage45

I'm a big fan of vintage books, movies,TV shows and music. I encourage everyone to patronize your local used book/record store and pick up some of the good stuff. My posts are capsule reviews of some favorites that you may want to investigate. The albums posted aren't really reviews but items from my collection that are still available. I try and point out highlights of each one and let the music speak for itself. Thanks to all for checking out the blog.
